Boat FixiT Information

Over the decades I have amassed literally tons of great boat “fix it” stuff and have just about everything from A as in anchoring to Z as in zincs, for commercial and private vessels. Now it’s way too much to post on this tiny website. Some I have scanned into CD's, some of this information is in my library, and some I have also found on numerous websites! Contact me I'll send it to ya!    j0283912.gif              Jun03184.JPG

Batteries

The one below has descriptions of all kinds of boat batteries, wet cell, gel cell, absorbed glass mat, NiCad. How they are built, how they are charged, how they are discharged, the scientific and electrical properties. Battery manufactures, alternator manufactures, inverter manufactures, sellers, cost comparisons, etc., etc.

This site has at least 20 pages with multiple hyperlinks to lots of other sites. I believe the website had been done or is being done while the boat is out cruising, so some photos of that are in there to break up the technical dryness. Also, check my links page; I have some commercial and private vessel regulatory information links on there.

Also, some really great examples of production boat wiring, done the wrong way!

Are you back? So, lots of info huh? He’s got some opinions in there too, as you can see. I have lots of other battery information, like how to install as per ABYC standards, U.S Coast Guard regulations for commercial boats, the CFR 33 and 46, etc, etc., that’s just batteries!

If you’re in need of sails or sail information try out the sail calculator site. They list lots of builders and models.
